What do you suppose happens when you put a battery powered car (with the wheels spinning) into a little girls hair? I wish I had taken pictures, but I was busy trying (for a LONG time) to somehow unwind that ultra-fine hair from the wheel. What a mess! I almost just cut it, but then finally pulled enough of it out to free her. More came out during bath... Addison was not very patient and in fact, made it worse by trying to squirm away. Any guess which of her brothers was the culprit? Our little Zach Attack, of course. Also on his list of offenses today: cup of sand and log into the quick set pool we were trying to put up, screw driver into the side of the kiddie pool we put up last week (puncturing the first level) and I'm pretty sure he's responsible for digging up half of my raised bed garden-which I had just planted seeds in. Guess it'll be exciting trying to guessing what is coming up ;o) That is one busy kid! My restful Saturday was anything but - which does not bode well for my summer. Nevertheless, I am absolutely looking forward to spending some extended time at home with by brood. I love the summer!

Counting the days

Only 5 days of school left... hard to believe how quickly this year has gone. Raymond is moving up to 3rd grade. He still struggles with spelling, but has become an avid reader, so I hope that will take care of itself as time goes. Zachary will start preschool in the fall. I told our principal the other day that he needed to give the preschool teacher a raise! Addison will stay with Mrs. Cummings in the nursery. I wonder how that will go without her brother. They fight a lot these days, but she is always lost without her brothers and gets so excited when they see each other after being apart awhile. Very sweet. Hopefully I'll be able to work blogging into my summer routine. I have a weekly "schedule" 'I hope to impliment - we'll see how it goes!
